What are some REAL NATURAL Metabolism Supplements that are safe for anyone to take including teens?

Metabolism

Supplements are not always safe, often do no good, the evidence is all anecdotal.
Some suggestions…
Eat smaller meals more frequently.
Smaller, more frequent meals keeps your blood sugar stable and provides a steady source of energy to fuel metabolism.
Get enough aerobic exercise.
As much as you can is really a help for your metabolism, and if you do it in the morning, you’ll raise your metabolism all day.
Water, water, water!!
You’ve heard it before, but drink those 8 8-ounce glasses of water every day. The energy burning process of metabolism needs water to work effectively.
Ditch the sugar. Of course, you still have to make good choices about what you eat. “When you eat sugar you throw your metabolic switch into fat storage mode,” says Lieberman, who suggests a predominately low glycemic index diet, meaning foods that, unlike sugars, are broken down gradually to help maintain an even blood-sugar level.

  1. I’m not sure if there are any. The FDA allows ANYONE to put ANYTHING in a package and call it a "supplement". These are, for the vast majority, untested, unproven snake oil that has not gone through clinical, doubleblind testing. They could even be dangerous.

  2. Well, the safest ones would be the same things you’re already getting in your diet… B-6, B-12, and Chromium, which you can get from your local health food store or any good quality supplement company. Those basic nutrients help boost the metabolism, but honestly, the best thing to boost your metabolism naturally is exercise. Even just a quick walk daily (a couple blocks or a couple miles… whatever you can handle) can help to boost your metabolism in a very short time, which can help you get more energy and burn more fat much easier.

Also, the FDA does not just let any company make anything. They specifically do require quality testing and occasional random testing with supplement companies… we’ve had them do a surprise inspection on us many times.
Good luck and I hope I helped!

  3. Exercise definitely. My metabolism has always seemed slow. I found that exercises that help build lean muscle, such as Pilates, work well.

As far as supplements, I have used Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar for over 2 years and it is awesome! I noticed a difference in my metabolism by the second day. If you can’t stand vinegar, as most people can’t, you can get it in a tablet form, coated or uncoated. I usually take one with each meal and 2 if I am having something heavy like meat and potatoes. I’ve even taken it 15 minutes after eating ice cream and no weird reaction in my stomach.
